Watering Holes – Keeping Score

Was it just an accident? Was no one aware of what was going on? Not for a New York minute. There are dozens of restaurants and watering holes located throughout the downtown and mid town areas of Manhattan where those involved boasted of their investment genius by creating virtually worthless securities. And, as is their habit, they surely bragged of their exploits in the Hamptons and Cape Cod as well.

Dan - Thanks for your good work. I agree, mutual funds are key. - We're still working on the blank vote issue. If you get a chance, I would certainly appreciate any comments you might have on http://www.shareowners.org/forum/topics/blank-votes Thanks. -- Jim

Thank you Jim. As you know, I submitted a comment letter to the SEC re: the Investor Advisory Committee. I'm not very confident much will come of it in light of the membership selceted for the committee.
My primary concern is for the +90 million mutual fund shareholders and have just written a book, "Mutual Funds Today...Who's Watching YOUR MOney?" Having served as an independent director for 11 years I'm conerned about the interests of shareholders. I have a website, which is new and I hope will grow to be a meaningful part of this dialogue.
www.mutualfundsbureau.com, take a look at it when you have a chance. Thanks again,
Dan

Good to see you participating here. Hopefully, efforts like shareowners.org, VoterMedia.org, Investor Suffrage Movement TransparentDemocracy, & Proxy Democracy, will really help retail shareowners and beneficial owners to get involved. I hope you will help spread the word.

I hope you will also consider sending a comment to the SEC supporting our petition to prevent blank votes by retail shareowners from automatically turning into votes for management.
